A new £2.3m Gruffalo ride will hit the British seaside town this spring.
The Gruffalo’s NEW tourist attraction will open later this year on Blackpool’s waterfront.
The £2.3 million attraction, which took 18 months to develop, will bring together six stories from creators Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
The Gruffalo & Friends Club is an indoor gaming adventure where families can meet up with some of the famous characters.
From the deep dark forest in The Gruffalo to Princess Pearl’s castle in Zog, guests can play alongside children’s book characters.
There will be seven separate play areas including The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, The Zog, The Snail and the Whale, The Broom Room, and The Highway Rat.
Along with the play area for toddlers up to three years old, there will also be areas suitable for children up to the age of 10.

The ride was developed in collaboration with Merlin Entertainments, Magic Light and Blackpool Council.
Kate Shane, Regional Director of Merlin Entertainments, said: “We are incredibly excited to bring some of the UK’s most beloved children’s characters to Blackpool.
“Blackpool is the UK’s number one family beach resort and this latest partnership with a globally recognized brand will provide visitors with compelling new reasons to come to Blackpool.”
Alex Sanson, Senior Brand Manager at Magic Light Pictures, added: “The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse will be the first of its kind, and we can’t wait to see this amazing space full of games and adventure come to life.”
The new attraction will open in May.
It will join seven other Merlin Entertainment attractions in Blackpool including Blackpool Tower and SEA LIFE Blackpool.
This is not the only new attraction in the UK this year.
At Easter, Covent Garden opens its new attraction, Peter Rabbit.
The Disney attraction is coming to the UK, but it’s not meant for little guests.
