Inside the UK’s “BEST” seaside town with award-winning beaches, stunning pier and cheap homes
THIS seaside town has been named “Best” in the UK for its award-winning beaches and stunning pier.
Worthing in West Sussex has been recognized as one of the best places to live due to its laid-back and less expensive lifestyle.
It has been described as “small, chic and, let’s face it, less than a megabucks choice of the Sussex coastline” in Dirty stilettos latest guide.
Seaside Sanctuary is significantly less crowded than other hotspots, yet boasts all the usual perks.
The streets are lined with rows of colorful houses and strange palm trees, while the turquoise water shimmers in the sun.
The beach at Worthing has been named one of the best in the country for four consecutive years.

But for those who prefer to explore the city, there are busy downtown streets full of cute boutiques.
There is even one called “Haggle It” where shoppers negotiate the price of their purchases.
There is even a beach for those who don’t like to ride the waves.
Lots of cute cafes with amazing beach views and chic restaurants are just a short walk away.
Seafood dishes are a staple on most menus, but the coastal town has plenty to choose from.
But one of Worthing’s main attractions is the magnificent Art Deco Pier, located just 10 miles west of Brighton.
It was named the UK’s Best of 2019 and is considered a must-see for locals, as well as being the perfect place to watch the sunset.
The Pier, built in 1862, survived Hell and World War II before briefly turning into a nightclub in the 80s.
Residents also recommend visiting Highdown Gardens, a unique “living library” of plants from around the world.
The chalk garden is tucked away behind a charming farm shop and garden center.
The city is also home to the British indie rock band The Ordinary Boys, fronted by former Big Brother star Preston.
And if you’re really woozy with Worthing after a short drive, you’ll be pleased to know that pads are pretty cheap here, too.
