M27 westbound: Multi-vehicle collision closes two lanes

Motorists traveling westbound on the M27 came to a halt this morning after an accident blocked two lanes of traffic between Hedge End and Eastleigh.

Officers were called to the scene near Junction 5 after 8:00 am.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident, a car and a truck.

No injuries were reported.

Motorists faced delays of approximately 20 minutes while police dealt with the accident.

The lanes have now been cleared and traffic is moving along them.
