Sir David Attenborough spoke about some of the must-see places in the UK.
In a new series focusing on the wildlife of Britain and Ireland, the nature show host visits some of the country’s most scenic spots.
The Wild Islands will be shown on the BBC next month, with the BBC showcasing some of the UK’s best wildlife, mostly in places that can be reached without having to fly.
In the series, Sir David announced: “I have traveled the world, I have seen the greatest natural spectacles on the planet and I can assure you that there is drama and spectacle in the British Isles that rivals anything I have seen during my travels around the world. “
The show will consist of five episodes that explore the many British Isles, revealing some of the best wildlife right here in the UK and Ireland.
Among the places David visits are coastal locations such as Northumberland, where he discovers puffins and other seabirds.

Places like Sea Houses and Lindisfarne are home to black and white birds with their distinctive colorful beaks.
The region is also home to dolphins, whales and gray seals.
Seabirds will also be the subject of David’s visit to Skomer Island in Wales, where lizards can also be found.
The area is described as “the most important seabird habitat in the south of Britain, with seaside pastures, lush inland vegetation, streams and artificial ponds”.
It also boasts stunning views and clear blue waters.
Attenborough will also visit the Cambridgeshire swamps, where wild horses are found.
The area is known as the “Holy Land of the English” due to its location between a number of historic churches and cathedrals.
The moors are also very close to the Norfolk coast, offering visitors beach walks as well as a variety of views.
Further south, David is also set to visit the stunning Studland Bay in Dorset.
The area boasts four miles of pristine sandy beaches with sheltered swimming waters surrounded by dunes and low cliffs.
Seahorses and mask crabs are two of the many interesting species of marine life found in the bay.
Elsewhere, Attenborough will visit Killarney in Ireland, where red deer have been rutting in the beautiful countryside of County Kerry for thousands of years.
The city is located on the banks of Lough Leane, the largest of the three lakes in the region.
In the series, David also plans to travel north to Scotland, visiting the Hebrides and Shetland.
The rugged archipelagos offer more beautiful beaches and wildlife as well as spectacular scenery.
This was announced by the producer of the series Hilary Jeffkins. Countryfile that David was just as excited about filming in the British aisles as he was in any exotic location.
He said: “David was very excited and excited about filming in Britain and seemed to enjoy it as much, if not more, than he did some of his adventures abroad.
“He was in his element among puffins and petrels on Skomer.”
