MUMBAI (Maharashtra) (India), 11 March (ANI): After Flipkart, Ola is the latest company to face people’s wrath for its recent marketing stunt.
The taxi aggregator company recently sent out an “8 missed calls from Mom” notification to its customers, offering a 40 percent discount on certain services.

However, this gimmick didn’t go over well with some people on social media.

A Twitter user called the company and wrote: “There is a way to do marketing. Do not exceed your limits by sending such notifications. The notifications could not be blocked because booking notifications are also blocked. #disappointed.”

Another user called Ola’s stunt “cringy”.
“Why are you giving everyone such lousy clickbaits. Don’t be another Zomato. Be original in marketing. Especially those 8 missed calls are yakk,” the netizen tweeted.
Founded in 2010, Ola was founded by the current Chairman and Group CEO of Ola Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati (Co-Founder and CTO). (ANI)
