Scottish Golf Tourism Awards: Rusacks St Andrews wins

Hosting thousands of players and fans at the 150th St Andrews Open in 2022, the hotel has 120 refurbished rooms and three different culinary concepts from restaurant developer White Rabbit Projects.

He describes his view of the world’s oldest golf course, The Old Course, as “second to none”, including from the rooftop bar and Restaurant 18, which overlooks the first and 18th holes.

The winners of the Scottish Golf Tourism Awards were announced at Thursday’s ceremony. The awards ceremony honors clubs, courses and accommodation providers that “celebrate the very best in the game,” noted Rusaks St. Andrews.

Rusacks St Andrews relaunched in September 2021 after an extensive interior and exterior renovation including a 42,000-square-foot addition to guest rooms and a rooftop restaurant at 18. The hotel has won a number of awards since opening, including the Travel + Leisure 2022 “It List Best New Rooftop Bars by Architectural Digest, Best Hotels in Scotland by Conde Nast Traveler and Best Hotels in Scotland by TripAdvisor. The hotel was also recently nominated for the Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards and the Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards.

The Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts collection was launched in 2021 by AJ Capital Partners. There are currently six objects in the collection, which are at different stages of development. Other sites in Scotland include Marine North Berwick and Marine Troon. Slieve Donard and Dornoch Station are due to restart in 2023.
