The Frequent Flyer Program is an easy way to get the first class experience in an economy cabin, but there’s a catch.
A frequent flyer showed how passengers can feel in business class while sitting in economy class on planes.
It’s rare to get a free upgrade, but there are ways to give yourself a more luxurious experience while staying in the cheap seats.
Tiktoker and travel expert Chelsea Fagan (@faganchelsea) showed which seats she booked and how she adds a little extra comfort to her trips without shelling out for more expensive seats.
First, she chooses the bulkhead seats, the ones in the front rows of economy class.
She then uses inflatable footrestallowing her to raise her legs like in first or business class.
She said it was one of the few travel hacks that actually improved the lives of passengers.

IN her videoshe said: “I’ve flown a lot in my life, which means I know the difference between a travel hack that really changes your experience and one that doesn’t really do anything.
“And 90 percent of the travel tips I see here are average at best, but this is really my best.
“This is the closest approach to business class in economy class.
“When you fly, choose bulkhead seats – this is not an exit row.
“Bulkhead just means that it is one of the seats that is behind the wall and not behind the other person.
“And it can’t be an exit row because there shouldn’t be anything on the floor.”
It is extremely important for this hack not to select an emergency exit row seat, because if you do, you will not be able to use the footrest, as Chelsea explains.
She continued, “Then you get one of those inflatable footrests, you can get them on amazon or elsewhere.
“Then, as you can see in this photo of me flying from Dublin to New York a couple of years ago, you just set yourself up.
“You can prop your legs up and stretch them out all the way.”
The Chelsea video was watched by almost half a million people, but not everyone was convinced.
While bulkhead rows have the most legroom, there are a couple of downsides.
As one person noted, they are “common around smelly toilets or screaming babies.”
Babies are often in bulkhead rows, and the extra space makes them the best place to place cribs.
They are also closest to the toilets at the front of the row.
However, other people have vouched for the hack, saying it’s a great way to unwind in flight.
One wrote, “I’ve been doing this for over a decade.”
Another added: “As a frequent flyer, I think you may have just changed my life.”
Footboards are available for £16.99 at Amazon and may help reduce the risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and relieve back pain from prolonged airplane sitting.
It also comes with an eye mask, 2 earplugs and a drawstring carrying bag, which means you can easily carry it around and protect from light and sound while flying.

In the meantime, here’s how to get extra legroom on flights by changing the way you bring carry-on luggage on board.
Another traveler shared how to find out which airlines have the most legroom in economy class before booking.
